Tracy Firefighters gave $500 dollars to the Tracy Chapter of "Sow a Seed". Sow A Seed Community Foundation provides youth, their families, and the community with education, tools and resources to overcome social and economic challenges, and lead positive, self sufficient lives. TFFC is proud of the work that Sow a Seed does and is also very proud to be able to support their efforts.
Tracy Firefighters were able to donate $500 to "Get Real Behind the Wheel". GRBW is dedicated to helping teenage drivers be more skilled and responsible. GRBW hosts a safe driving event on the last Sunday of every month. Teens and parents learn about the consequences of distracted driving and discover winning strategies to avoid becoming a tragedy. TFFC is proud to contribute to this incredible foundation.
Sarah Kellogg is a student at Tracy High that took it upon her self to bring a "Locks of Love" fundraiser to Tracy in order to raise funds for the local "Locks of Love" Chapter. Sarah organized the entire event with all of the proceeds going to the "Locks of Love" charity which helps local children in the fight against cancer. We applaud Sarah for all of her hard work and her kind heart. The $300 dollars went towards a snow cone machine and gift baskets whose proceeds will all go towards fighting cancer.
The 1st annual Tracy Firefighter's Charity Golf Tournament raised $5,800. 65 golfers showed up to the Charity tournament at the Tracy Country Club and with out any doubt (as a witness) I can say that they all had a really good time. All of the proceeds will go back into the community. To request a donation for a person or project that will help to strengthen our community please go to the "application for donation" tab and fill out a request.
Thank you for all who attended this years event and we will see you next year!!!
