With Thanksgiving almost upon us and the Seventh Day Adventist Elementary School’s Christmas Boutique fundraiser around the corner on Nov. 17th, my thoughts focus on the things that I am thankful for. The Tracy Firefighters Association recently gave me another thing to be thankful for. I have always been thankful for our firefighters and all first responders but recently the Tracy firefighters association demonstrated, once again, their commitment to helping the community they work in. As if it is not enough that firefighters risk their safety, their lives for us, they are willing to help families, schools, and organizations in their community by donating their time and money to them. Our school, Seventh Day Adventist Elementary, a K-8th grade private Christian School, was a beneficiary of their generosity. Generosity doesn’t quite express it, just like appreciation does not quite cover our feelings about what they did for our school. Tracy Firefighters are not all about putting out fires, they save lives and help their community. Thanks for all you do!

Sincerely,
Sandy Haun
